S. Korea adds 103 new virus cases, total now at 26,146

TOKYO, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- South Korea added 103 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the country's total caseload to 26,146, according to Yonhap News Agency.
The country reported one additional death, raising the death toll to 461, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.
Of the newly identified 96 domestic infections, 23 cases were reported in the capital city of Seoul and 28 from the surrounding Gyeonggi Province.
Since the country eased the social distancing scheme to the lowest level on October 12, which allowed people to resume most of their daily activities, the daily figures have showed ups and downs, hovering around 100.
The government said it will resume its program to issue coupons for accommodations, tour packages and restaurants, to lend a hand to the virus-hit economy. (end) mk.bs
