WASHINGTON, Oct 24 (KUNA) -- The US recorded over 83,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the highest single day umber since the pandemic outbreak.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US recorded 83,757 new coronavirus cases and 943 deaths as the nationآ’s confirmed cases reached almost 8.5 million and at least 224,000 deaths.
This comes as at least 32 states have recorded a spike in coronavirus cases whereas coronavirus hospitalizations have increased in 14 states over the past week.
The US ranks first globally in the coronavirus cases and deaths. (end)
