BEIRUT, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- The government of Cyprus expressed condolences Wednesday for passing away of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The foreign ministry, in a statement, described the late Amir as a "wise leader and statesman" who achieved many accomplishments in the region and world.
The late Amir, it said, was an example of moderation and always sought to create an atmosphere of respect and mutual understanding. (end)
