TUNIS, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- The Tunisian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday 936 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
This brings the total number of the country's confirmed infections with the infectious respiratory illness to 16,114, the ministry said in a statement.
The death toll since the outbreak of the virus in this north African country stands at 214, the ministry added.
However, health authorities have announced fresh preventive measures nationwide to curb the spread of the virus, including lockdown in 17 highly infected areas. (end)
