WASHINGTON, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- The US recorded almost 40,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours as the total cases nationwide are nearing 6.9 million.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the US recorded 39,334 new coronavirus cases and 822 new deaths in the past 24 hours.
The tally showed that the confirmed cases nationwide reached 6,896,274 and 200,807 deaths.
