KUWAIT, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanem adjourned Wednesday's session due to the lack of quorum.
Today's session came after yesterday's dual grillings against His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, which ended in a request signed by 10 MPs regarding a non-cooperation motion with the Prime Minister.
MP Abdulkareem Al-Kandari said His Highness the Prime Minister failed to manage the coronavirus pandemic, address the budget deficit and violating Article 39 of the Constitution.
Article 39 states that freedom of communication by post, telegraph and telephone and the secrecy thereof shall be guaranteed, accordingly, censorship of communications and disclosure of their contents shall not be permitted except in the circumstances and manner specified by law.
MP Al-Humaidi Al-Subaie said in his motion that His Highness the Prime Minister failed to protect oil wealth, failed to hold those who violated public funds accountable and ignored reports of the National Assembly and State Audit Bureau, in addition to failure to address shortcomings committed by the previous government.
