Britain, France, Germany: sactions' reimposition on Iran illegal

PARIS, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- Britain, France and Germany declared on Sunday that reimposition of sanctions eased on Iran in line with the 2015 nuclear deal would be illegal.
The three European parties to the nuclear deal and long-time US allies said in a joint statement any decision or action taken to re-impose UN sanctions would not have legal effects.
The US quit the nuclear deal in on May 8, 2018, they said, therefore was not a member in the agreement so Washington's unilaterallly triggering of sanctions was illegal.
They also assured that UN Security Council should maintained authority and integrity.
The US announced that it would re-impose sactions on Iran or any member that don't comply with the sanctions. (end) mjz.mah
