CAIRO, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Ministry of Health said Saturday that 131 people tested positive for the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), while 17 others died due to the viral illness over the past 24 hours.
The latest figures took the overall infections up to 101,900 and the death toll to 5,750, the ministry's spokesman Dr. Khaled Mujahed said in a press statement.
The number of treated virus patients edged up by 708 to 88,666, he added. (end)
