Foreign Minister and Acting Defense Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah
KUWAIT, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Foreign Minister and Acting Defense Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah sent cables to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and to His Highness Deputy Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to congratulate them on the US honoring of His Highness the Amir.
In his cables, Sheikh Ahmad Nasser expressed pleasure for the award granted by US President Donald Trump to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He also expressed, on behalf of the entire foreign ministry's staff best wishes and a speedy recovery to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
He noted that such recognition was a testament to the Amir's relentless efforts and work throughout the years.
Earlier, His Highness the Amir has been handed a rare prestigious decoration by US President Donald Trump for his leading regional and global diplomatic efforts.
The Legion of Merit, Degree Chief Commander was accepted, on behalf of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, at a private ceremony in the Oval Office by Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.
In turn, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf sent a letter thanking the foreign minister for his sincere sentiments. (end)
