ANKARA, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- At least 62 persons died of COVID-19 and 1,771 others tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Friday.
These new figures raised the death toll and overall infections to 7,377 and 299,810 respectively, Turkey's Anadolu Agency quoted a statement by Koca as saying.
The number of recoveries rose by 1,060 to 264,805, he added, noting that 111,113 medical tests were conducted in 24 hours, raising the total number to over nine million.(end)
