KUWAIT, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Friday a congratulatory cable from chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah on the occasion of US President Donald Trump decoration of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with the Legion of Merit (LOM), Degree Chief Commander.
In the cable, Sheikh Salem Al-Ali expressed the KNG's commanders and forces greetings to His Highness the Amir on the US President Donald Trump granting him the LOM.
It is one of the most prestigious medals granted to the senior leaders all over the world, he said.
He added that this American decoration is a recognition of His Highness the Amir's remarkable efforts.
He wished good health, well-being and a safe return to His Highness the Amir as well as further prosperity and progress to Kuwait.
In return, His Highness the Deputy Amir sent a cable of thanks to His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah for his and KNG's staff sincere congratulations and sentiments.
His Highness the Deputy Amir also thanked President Trump for this honoring which embodies the deep-rooted relations between Kuwait and the US.
He noted that the several prestigious medals and honorary titles granted to His Highness the Amir show the international community recognition of his role in promoting dialogue and boosting regional and international peace and security.
