BRUSSELS, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- Total coronavirus cases in Belgium Friday surged to 97,976, with 2,028 new cases as reported by health authorities.
One more death from COVID-19 was reported in the last 24 hours, raising the toll to 9,936.
Meanwhile, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Europe, Hans Kluge, warned on Thursday that transmission of the coronavirus had reached "alarming rates" in the continent. (end)
