Int'l forces withdraw from Al-Taji camp in Baghdad - Command

BAGHDAD, Aug 23 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Joint Operations Command announced on Sunday the withdrawal of the international coalition forces from Al-Taji military camp northern Baghdad.
Iraq's News Agency quoted the Command that the international coalition handed over today location number Eight in Al-Taji camp, which was used for training Iraqi cadres by the Australian, US and New Zealand forces.
There is a time schedule to hand other military locations, it added, without disclosing any other information.
US President Donald Trump announced as he received the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhemi during his latest visit to Washington, that American forces will withdraw from Baghdad during a period of three years.
Al-Taji Military Camp is considered one of the most important military locations northern Baghdad, and came under several missiles attacks by armed groups who targeted the coalitoon forces, without resulting in any casualties or material damages. (end) aah.lb
