BERLIN, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- Covid-19 claimed four lives, while new 1,445 infections were registered in the past 24 hours, Germany announced on Thursday.
Total deaths caused by Covid-19 climbed to 9,211, while total infections reached 219,964 cases, the Robert Koch Institute - the public health institute in Germany - said in press remarks.
Infections exceeded 1,000 per day for the second consecutive day, which reflects an unpreceded hike in new infections since May 9. (end)
