KUWAIT, Aug 12 (KUNA) -- The US recorded in the past 24 hours almost 47,000 new coronavirus cases, whereas Brazilآ’s new cases topped 52,000.
According to Johns Hopkins University Wednesday, the US recorded 46,808 new coronavirus cases and 1,074 deaths.
The tally showed that the confirmed coronavirus cases nationwide reached 5,141,208آ and at leastآ 164,537آ deaths.
Meanwhile, Brazilآ’s health ministry reported 52,160 new coronavirus cases and 1,274 deaths in the past 24 hours bringing the countryآ’s total number of cases toآ 3,109,630 and 103,026 deaths.
The US and Brazil rank first and second globally in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths. (end)
