KUWAIT, Aug 9 (KUNA) -- The coronavirus cases in the US surpassed five million Sunday as the US ranks first globally in the coronavirus cases and deaths.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the confirmed cases nationwide reached 5,000,603 while the deaths toll from the virus reached 162,441.
This comes as four states in the US have over 400,000 confirmed coronavirus cases whereas California has the highest cases with 555,797 while New York has the highest number of deaths with 32,768. (pick up previous)
