Covid-19 kills 163, infects 2,020 in Iran

TEHRAN, Aug 9 (KUNA) -- Iranian health authorities on Sunday confirmed 163 additional fatalities and 2,020 more cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The fresh figures bring Iran's death toll and overall infections with the viral illness up to 18,427 and 326,712 respectively, the Iranian Health Ministry's Spokeswoman Sima Sadat said in a press statement.
In addition, a total of 284,371 patients have been cured of the globally spreading virus so far, the spokeswoman pointed out. (end) mw.mt
