KUWAIT, Aug 8 (KUNA) -- Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah on Saturday cabled US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressing condolences on death of the former national security adviser, General Brent Scowcroft.
In the cable, the foreign minister eulogized Gen. Scowcroft who robustly stood on Kuwait's side in the face of the 1990 Iraqi aggression on the State of Kuwait.
Kuwaiti people will not forget his support during the dark days of Kuwait and the Gulf, Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser wrote to the secretary of state Pompeo.
Moreover, he has underlined the historic and deep-rooted ties bonding the State of Kuwait with the United State of America. (end)
