Kuwait oil price up nine cents to USD 44.97

KUWAIT, Aug 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti oil prices jumped by nine cents a barrel on Friday to hit USD 44.97, as compared to USD 44.88 the previous day, according to state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.
Globally, the price of Brent crude dropped 69 cents to settle at USD 44.40 per barrel, while the West Texas Intermediate had also seen a 73 cents decline to USD 41.22 a barrel. (end) km.nam
