BERLIN, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- Coronavirus (COVID-19) claimed seven lives, while 1,045 new infections were confirmed, a German medical authority announced on Thursday.
The pandemic death toll climbed to 9,175, while the total infected cases reached 213,067, the president of Robert Koch Institute (RKI) Professor Dr. Lothar Wieler said in a press release today.
With the new infections, Germany records more than 1,000 infections since weeks, during a time the local authorities are warning from an upcoming wave of the pandemic. (end)
