S. Korea adds 43 new virus cases, total at 14,499

TOKYO, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- South Korea identified 43 additional new coronavirus cases Thursday, raising the country's total caseload to 14,499, said Yonhap News Agency.
The country reported no additional deaths, with the death toll remaining at 302, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicated.
Of the newly identified cases, 23 were domestic infections, the highest level since July 25, with 16 from the greater Seoul area.
Health authorities are on high alert over virus outbreaks at churches, offices and restaurants. Meanwhile, infections coming in from overseas have risen steadily by double-digit numbers for 42 consecutive days. (end) mk.gta
