AMMAN, Aug 3 (KUNA) -- Israel's helicopters fired missiles on some positions in the southern Syrian province of Quneitra Monday, causing material losses, Syrian state news agency SANA said.
The agency quoted a Syrian military source as saying that the Israeli helicopters targeted the positions at 22:40 local time.
On July 20, Syria's air defense intercepted Israeli missiles fired towards Damascus.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced the targeting of some positions belonging to the Syrian army inside the country's territories.
The army added in a statement that its fighter jets raided some posts of the Syrian army south Syrian, in retaliation for attempts of implanting some explosives in southern Golan Heights on Sunday that were foiled.
The statement held the Syrian regime responsibility for any attacks launched from its territories, threatening to continue military acts against any assaults targeting Israel. (end)
