Iraq: 66 deaths, 2,735 new COVID-19 cases

BAGHDAD, Aug 3 (KUNA) -- Iraqi Health Ministry on Monday announced that 66 lives succumbed to COVID-19 and 2,735 new infections, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 131,886 and 2,225 recovered ones.
The capital Baghdad has the highest number of infections with 821, Karbala 300, Basra 232 and others are scattered in other Iraqi provinces, said the ministry in a statement.
The ministry pointed out the death toll amounted to 4,934, while 94,111 recovered from COVID-19 in all Iraqi provinces, including Kurdistan. (end) ohh.hs
