Covid-19 kills 215, infects 2,598 in Iran

TEHRAN, Aug 3 (KUNA) -- Iranian health authorities on Monday confirmed 215 additional fatalities and 2,598 more cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The fresh figures bring Iran's death toll and overall infections with the viral illness up to 17,405 and 312,035 respectively, the Iranian Health Ministry's Spokeswoman Sima Sadat said in a press statement.
In addition, a total of 270,228 patients have been cured of the globally spreading virus so far, the spokeswoman pointed out. (end) mw.mt
