Britain: eight dead due to Covid-19 to raise total to over 46,000

KUWAIT, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- British Department of Health said Sunday total deaths caused by the coronavirus reached 46,201 after registering eight new fatalities in the past 24 hours.
The department said in a statement 744 people tested positive for the virus since yesterday to increase registered cases to 304,695.
It said health workers conducted more than 12.075 million tests.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson had said the government planned to restore normal life fully by December. (end) kd.bs
