Mauritania reports nine new Covid-19 cases, toll 6,319

RABAT, Aug 1 (KUNA) -- Mauritania Health Ministry said Saturday that nine people contracted the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall infections to 6,319.
The new cases of infection were the result of 170 lab tests in various parts of the country, health officials said in the daily briefing tonight.
Recoveries reached 4,962 after reporting 81 recoveries in the past 24 hours, however no deaths were reported, and the number of deaths from Covid-19 remains at 157 patients. (end) mry.mb
