VIENNA, July 23 (KUNA) -- Austria registered on Thursday 170 additional cases of COVID-19, increasing the number of confirmed infections to 20,038.
The Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection said in an online statement that over 826,000 tests were conducted, indicating that over 17,943 recovered, whereas the death toll hit 711.
It added that 102 patients were hospitalized, of which 15 patients were in intensive care units.
The authorities decided to restore the preventive measures and impose wearing masks starting next Friday, in supermarkets, post offices and banks, as well as intensifying control over arrivals from the Western Balkans.
