German police arrest two Syrians accused of committing war crimes

BERLIN, July 13 (KUNA) -- German police arrested two Syrians accused of committing war crimes in Syria in 2012, the public prosecution said Monday.
The Karlsruhe-based prosecution said in a statement, available to the press, the police arrested the two Syrians in the eastern Saxony-Anhalt and western North Rhine-Westphalia States.
It said it has compelling evidence that the two Syrians committed war crimes in 2012.
The two men, members in Al-Nusra Front, are accused of arresting a Syrian Army officer on July 10, 2012. It added they killed the officer and record his murder on video. (end) anj.bs
