Egypt reports 981 new COVID-19 cases, 85 deaths

CAIRO, July 10 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Ministry of Health registered on Friday 981 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections and 85 deaths.
In a statement, the ministry's spokesman Khaled Mejahed said some 521 have been treated, in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) instructions, and left hospitals.
The total recoveries reached 23,274, he said, noting that the overall cases hit 80,235, including the recovered. The whole number of fatalities hit 3,702, he stated. (end) ms.hm
