MADRID, July 10 (KUNA) -- The Spanish Ministry of Health on Friday reported five more deaths and 852 cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the highest daily infection rate since early May.
The latest figures bring Spain's overall count of confirmed cases and death toll up to 253,908 and 28,403 so far, the ministry said in a press statement.
There are now 73 virus-affected areas in Spain, while over 270,000 people have been put under quarantine in Catalonia and Galicia due to the outbreak of the bug there. (end)
