Face masks mandatory in some places in Belgium

BRUSSELS, July 10 (KUNA) -- The wearing of mouth masks will become compulsory throughout Belgium from tomorrow Saturday in all shops, shopping centres and other indoor places where a lot of people congregate such as places of worship, cinemas, museums and libraries.
According to Belgian media reports Friday, the decision was made after the High Council for Health of Belgium recommended the compulsory wearing of mouth masks in shops Thursday evening.
The Council said that this was necessary to "improve protection for customers and shop staff." People that fail to respect the new rules face criminal proceedings.
