MADRID, July 9 (KUNA) -- COVID-19 claimed five new lives and infected 543 people in Spain during the past 24 hours, the health ministry said in a statement Thursday.
It put the whole number of people who have been subjected to PCR tests at 253,056 and deaths' toll at 28,401.
Currently, there are up to 73 areas throughout Spain infested with the contagion. In Catalonia and Galithia, more than 270,000 people are quarantined and isolated due to robust spread of the pandemic in the two regions. (end)
