UK COVID-19 deaths rise to 44,602

KUWAIT, July 9 (KUNA) -- The UK Health ministry announced on Thursday 85 COVID-19 patients died during the past hours bringing the total coronavirus related death toll to 44,602.
It added that 287,621 people have tested positive for the disease in Britain, a daily increase of 642.
More than 11,286 million people are suspected of being infected with the virus.
Cafes, restaurants, hotels and barber shops returned to work last Saturday as the last stage of the plan to reopen the economy, added statement.(end) kd.hs
