Slovakia registers 31 Coronavirus infections, Hungary five

VIENNA, July 8 (KUNA) -- The number of Coronavirus (Covid-19) infections climbed to 1,798 cases in Slovakia in the last 24 hours, local authorities announced on Wednesday.
The rise came as 31 more infections were registered during the last 24 hours, while 1,473 patients recovered, the Slovak Ministry of Health said in a press statement on its official website.
A total of 219 thousand Coronavirus (Covid-19) tests have been conducted in the country, while virus fatalities hit 28 so far, it added.
Meanwhile, the Hungarian Ministry of Health announced on its official website that five new infections were recorded in the country, raising its total cases to 4,210.
A total of 288 thousand Coronavirus (Covid-19) tests were carried out, while 2,885 cases recovered, with 589 deaths, it stated.
Hungary has lately reopened its borders with Croatia, Czech, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Austria after more than two months of closure due to the Covid-19. (end) mah.sam
