Coronavirus kills, infects more people in Europe

VIENNA, July 7 (KUNA) -- Czech authorities declared on Tuesday recording 51 new infection cases with the contagious virus, COVID-19, noting that whole count of contaminations with the bug swelled to 12,566.
Czech ministry of health said in a statement that more than 573,000 swab tests were conducted, adding that 7,873 patients recovered from the infection, however 131 ones remained at hospitals, while tally of deaths stood at 350.
In Poland, the health department reported seven new deaths and 257 infections, raising mortalities tallY to 1,528 and recorded infections settling, for now, at 36,412 cases.
Meanwhile, Slovenia reported 23 new cases, putting toll at 1,739.
Elsewhere in Europe, Croatia declared recording 52 new infections with the total of the contaminations amounting to 3,272. It also repored total recoveries reached 2,229 and 113 mortalities.
Slovakia for its part said it suffered two infections during the past 24 hours putting the tally at 1,767. In Hungary, authorities reported 16 new ones with the overall count of contaminations reaching 4,205, in addition to a death toll of 589 mortalities. (end) maa.rk
