Singapore: 157 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections

KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (KUNA) -- Singapore registered new 157 Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections on Tuesday and declared that total infections reached 45,140, while no fatalities took place, as the death toll stabilized at 26 cases so far.
The local community registered 20 infections, which include 12 cases for Singaporean citizens or permanent residents, and eight others who hold work permits, Singaporean Ministry of Health said in a statement today.
Most of the new infections were of foreign workers residing in shared housing, three had travelled back to the country and all of them were quarantined, it added. (end) aab.lb
