CAIRO, July 5 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced Sunday that 1,218 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and 63 others succumbed to the illness over the past 24 hours.
The figures took the overall infections to 75,253 and the death toll to 3,343, spokesman of the Ministry Dr. Khaled Mujahed said in a press release this evening.
He added that 623 patients have recovered, bringing the overall recoveries to 20,726. (end)
