Turkey: 19 deaths, 1,148 new cases of COVID-19 Sun.

KUWAIT, July 5 (KUNA) -- Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Sunday that overall recoveries from COVID-19 is now at 180,680 (1,188 today) out of 205,758 total cases.
However, the country's death toll from the virus also rose to 5,225, with 19 new fatalities reported over the last 24 hours, in addition to 1,148 new cases.
The overall count of COVID-19 tests rose to more than 3.63 million, with some 46,414 new tests, also today, noted the minister in a statement carried by Anadolu news agency.
Since it originated in China last December, more than 11.1 million COVID-19 cases have been reported worldwide so far, with recoveries topping six million, according to figures compiled by the US' Johns Hopkins University. (end) rs.hb
