ALGIERS, July 5 (KUNA) -- Algerian Ministry of Health said Sunday that six persons died due to infection with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) while 441 people tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
Dr. Jamal Forar, spokesman of the national committee tasked with responding to the pandemic, told a daily news conference total cases reached 15,941 and tally of deaths amounted to 952.
He added that 311 people recovered from the disease and the whole count of recuperated patients who were discharged from hospitals reached 11,492, however 53 others remained in intensive care wards. (end)
