KUWAIT, July 5 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Sunday at Seif Palace Chairman of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) Abdulaziz Al-Ibrahim and board members on the occasion of taking their offices.
His Highness the prime minister, addressing the guests, alluded to instructions by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to combat corruption, protect public funds, refute baseless allegations broadcast by some outlets and social media sites, as well as his underlining of the necessity to affirm law sovereignty.
Moreover, His Highness the premier cited His Highness the Amir as underlining that it is the responsibility of the government and the Anti-Corruption Authority to fight corruption through cooperation.
Sheikh Sabah Khaled pledged the government would put all its resources at disposal of such cooperation and supporting various State sectors to boost integrity and transparency, as well as for combating corruption, expressing good wishes to the new chairman and board members. (end) tib.rk
