Eight new coronavirus cases in China, no deaths

KUWAIT, July 5 (KUNA) -- Chinese authorities announced Sunday eight new coronavirus cases, without any deaths in the past 24 hours.
The new infections raised the countryآ’s total number of cases to 83,553, with a death rate of 4,634, Xinhua news agency quoted the Chinese National Health Commission.
It added that two local cases were recorded in the capital Beijing, while no cases were found in Hubei province and its capital Wuhan.
Meanwhile, seven patients were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries to 78,516, while 403 others are still receiving medical care. (end) mab.ag
