Arab League condemns Houthis' drones against Saudi Arabia

CAIRO, July 3 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Gheit condemned Friday the Houthi militia's launching of booby-trapped drones against Saudi Arabia.
These attacks show how the Houthi militias lack the political will to cease hostilities or engaged in a serious peace making process for Yemen, Abul Gheit said in a statement.
The Saudi-led military coalition fighting Yemen's Iran-allied Houthi group said it had destroyed a quartet of drones laden with explosives launched by the militia towards the kingdom.
Three drones were intercepted over Yemeni territory controlled by the Houthis, while another one was destroyed in Saudi airspace, official SPA news agency cited coalition spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki as saying.
Abul Gheit commended the coalition for intercepting and destroying the drones.
He said the Houthis did not own their decisions and were undermining stability and peace in Yemen. (end) mfm.bs
