Countries around world update coronavirus figures

KUWAIT, July 1 (KUNA) -- Countries have continued counting tallies of victims of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), an invisible germ that has for months crept across borders sickening people and causing mayhems to afflicted nations.
Italy registered 21 deaths and 182 new cases as the pandemic curve continued to slide.
Ministry of Health said total deaths reached 34,788 while registered infections reached 240,760.
It added active cases dropped to 15,255, of them 1,112 receiving treatment and 93 in the intensive care units.
The ministry said 469 people recovered to reach 190,717.
Spain registered eight deaths and 149 infections in the past 24 hours.
Ministry of Health said total cases reached 249,659 while tally of death 28,363.
Algerian Ministry of Health recorded an increase in infections as the virus was spreading anew.
It said 365 people tested positive for the virus and eight persons died of it. Total cases reached 14,272 and deaths 920.
It said 143 people recovered to reach 10,040.
Slovakia reported 20 new cases to reach a total of 1,687, while deaths reached 28. Ministry of Health of Slovakia said 1,466 people recovered so far.
The Czeck Republic registered 149 new cases to reach a total of 12,006. Czeck Ministry of Health said 7,797 people recovered and 349 people died of the virus.
Greece registered 23 new cases to reach a total of 3,432, while death cases remain unchanged at 192.
The public health agency said 119 patients have recovered from the virus.
Neighboring Turkey said 19 people died of the pandemic and 1,192 new cases were registered.
Turkish Minister of Health Fehrettin Koca said deaths reached 5,150 and 201,098.
Koca said 2,311 patients recovered from the virus to reach 175,422.
Yemen also registered an increase in cases in government-controlled governorates, saying 32 people tested positive with the virus to reach a total of 1,190.
The national committee tasked with confronting the virus said six persons died of the virus to make fatalities increase to 318. It added recoveries increased by 16 people to reach 504.
In Syrian, the ministry of health said 14 people were infected by the virus to reach a total of 293.
It added 110 people recovered after five patients were cured from the virus. Nine people died of the virus in the country.
Palestinian Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaileh announced 50 new cases to increase total to 3,095.
Moroccan Ministry of Health announced 103 new cases in the past 24 hours to make total infections 12,636.
The ministry added that one person died to reach 208, and 106 patients recovered from the virus to reach 9,026.
In Mauritania, Ministry of Health said 109 people were infected by the virus since yesterday to make total cases 4,472.
It added 55 people recovered to reach a total of 1,677. No deaths were reported and fatalities remain at 129.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) registered 402 new cases in the past 24 hours to raise registered infections in the country to 49,069.
UAE Government spokesperson Dr. Amna Al-Shamsi said 594 people recovered to increase recoveries to 38,160.
Al-Shamsi said one person died of the pandemic to make total fatalities 316.
Egyptian Ministry of Health announced 1,503 new cases and 81 deaths.
Ministry spokesman Dr. Khaled Mujahed said in a statement 421 persons recovered to make total recoveries 18,881.
