French, Tunisian leaders discuss coronavirus, Libya

PARIS, June 5 (KUNA) -- French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation on Friday with his Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied in the framework of promoting bilateral cooperation and reviewing regional issues, Macron's office said in a statement.
The agenda for the call included the "Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences" as well as addressing bilateral relations which were described as "erstwhile and strong." The two leaders "agreed to continue strengthening the relationship of friendship and trust between the two countries in all areas," the statement indicated.
Both Presidents also exchanged concerns about and the desire to cooperate on regional crises, in particular the ongoing conflict in Libya. (end) jk.ibi
