OPEC's oil price up to USD 35.46 pb

VIENNA, June 4 (KUNA) -- OPEC's daily basket price went up 51 cents to reach USD 35.46 pb Wednesday, compared with USD 34.95 the previous Tuesday, said the organization Thursday.
OPEC's bulletin affirmed that the annual average price of the basket for the past year was USD 52.53 a barrel.
OPEC and the major oil producers, including Russia, began early May to withdraw 9.7 million barrels per day from the market, equivalent to 10 percent of global oil production, in an attempt to support prices that were greatly affected by the severe shortage in global demand for oil due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Global oil prices recorded a slight recovery thanks to the presence of clear indications of a commitment to production cuts (OPEC +) and the gradual coronavirus lockdowns easing around the world. (end) amq.aa
