KUWAIT, June 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's stock exchange, known as Boursa Kuwait, closed down on Wednesday, with the benchmark index losing 11.16 points to 5014,39 points, down 0.22 percent.
As many as 161.8 million shares worth KD 23.5 million (about USD 79.9 million) changed hands in a total of 3,657 transactions.
The Main Mark Index fell 17.5 points to 4147.69 points, a drop of 0.42 percent, by trading 102.6 million shares through 3,657 transactions at a value of KD 4.8 million (USD 16.3 million).
The Premier Index nosedived 8.0 points to 5453.79, down 0.15 percent. A total of 59.2 million shares worth KD 18.6 million (USD 53.2 million) were traded in 3,403 transactions.
The Main 50 Index dipped 24.33 points to 4033.37 points, a drop of 0.60 percent. Some 74.8 million shares changed hands in 2,471 transactions to the tune of KD 3.8 million (USD 12.92 million). (end)
