KUWAIT, June 3 (KUNA) - Chinese health authorities said on Wednesday that no Coronavirus (Covid-19) death cases were reported on the Chinese mainland over the last 24 hours, while only one case was recorded.
Thus, the number of infections with the globally spreading virus in China went up to 83,021, and the death toll remained at 4,634, the Chinese National Health Commission said in a statement, carried by Xinhua news agency.
It said that it had reported a single "imported case", raising the overall count of imported cases to 1,762.
Meanwhile, one Covid-19 patient was discharged from hospital after recovery on the Chinese mainland Tuesday, the commission said.
There were 73 patients still being treated, the commission said, adding that altogether 78,314 patients had been cured and discharged from hospitals by the end of Tuesday. (end)
