KUWAIT, May 30 (KUNA) -- China, on Saturday, confirmed four more cases of Coronavirus (Covid/19), but no further fatalities due to the virus were reported.
Four "imported" cases were confirmed on the mainland, including two in Shandong, one in Shanghai and one in Guangdong, the Chinese National Health Commission said in its daily report, carried by Xinhua news agency.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 82,999, with the overall count of fatalities due to the disease standing at 4,634, it said.
The commission added that only one new suspected case imported from abroad was reported in Shanghai.
In addition, a total of 78,302 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals so far, the commission said, adding that there were 63 patients still being treated. (end) mab.mt
