TEHRAN, May 29 (KUNA) -- Iranian Ministry of Health on Friday announced registering 2,819 new contamination cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in past 24 hours.
With the new cases, the overall count of people who contracted the disease reached 146,668, said the head of the press bureau at the ministry of health, Kianush Jahanpur, in a statement.
He said 50 new deaths were reported thus the whole figure of the fatalities from the contagion stood at 7,677.
He added that the overall recoveries surged to 114,931. (end)
