MOSCOW, May 29 (KUNA) -- Russian health authorities Friday reported 232 additional fatalities due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), raising the death toll to 4,374.
Some 8,572 new infections with the deadly virus were also reported over the last 24 hours, bringing the country's overall count of cases up to 387,623, the Russian Emergency Center said in a statement.
A total of 8,264 patients have been cured of the highly contagious disease, taking the total number of already treated people up to 159,257, the center added.
Russian authorities had decided to lessen lockdown measures as of early June as the number of infections is on the wane. (end)
